PET SHOW RULES
Guidelines for 2010
Youth Pet Show

All Youth Ages 1 to 18 may enter
Saturday April 17 4:00 p.m.
Registration begins at 3:00 p.m.
NO PRE-ENTRIES
Entry fee: $2.00/pet or $5.00 family maximum for any number of entries.
Van Zandt County Fair is proud to present the Pet Show for youth!
Classes:
1. Dogs under 10 inches
2. Dogs 10 to 20 inches
3. Dogs over 20 inches
4. Baby kittens to 6 months
5. Cats 6 months to 1 year
6. Cats over 1 year
7. Goats under 6 months (female pygmy any age)
8. Rabbits
9. Baby Chicks
10. Other Birds
11. Aquatic Animals (i.e. goldfish)
12. Costume class
Best in show will be chosen from the winners of each class.
Only on entry per child per class. One child per pet.
Due to health regulations, no livestock (horses, cows, sheep, broilers,
or breeding or market pigs) will be permitted.
Rules:
• Pets must be caged or on a leash
• All pets should be in good health and up to date on all applicable
shots for their breed. All dogs and cats 12 weeks and over should
have a current rabies tag or voucher from their vet with them at the
show.
• Animals showing aggression to another animal or contestant
will be asked to leave the show.
• Superintendent decision is final.
